629s are great guns and if both pistols are in similar condition the 629 is probably going to resell for more,good trade depends on which you can get the most use of.

Me to. My brother bought a 4" 629 from some dude for $400 a couple of years ago. It didn't have that silly internal lock on it. He sold it last year for $600. I did not have the gun funds at the time.
