I have the DD in 300, it runs like a champ. I have zero reliability concerns.
Recently I sent off some brass to be trimmed, formed, and annealed. I had some .223 with split necks and other issues, so I asked if it could be trimmed back as well. The guy doing it wasn't sure since he hasn't done it before. I'll spare you the details, but it does work. I had 55 pieces of unusable brass that now I'm able to use again.

This...just keep the AK. Or realize that AR's these days from reputable manufacturers are equally reliable, if not more so than AK's.
I just don't get people holding the AK to the pinnacle of reliability. Been around many AK's in class that went down. Had AK's go down myself...had over 12 AR's in the last 6 years from bottom feeders to BCM...I have literally only had 4 FTF's across the board in about 40,000 rounds amongst those guns.
My home build franken BLK 9" AAC pistol has ~1600 rounds...all went bang. Not a viable performance regimen...but promising nonetheless.
I love the .300BLK AK comments in this thread. Lmao.
We miss you, AC.

I shot a buddy's 300 BLK SBR a couple of months ago. IIRC, the upper was an AAC on a Spikes lower. The rifle shot fine with no hicups for over 200 rds. He said he has about 1K through it with no problems. If you buy a quality AR then use quality mags with good ammo and maintain it properly, then it will be as reliable as any AK. In my limited experience, ARs are not nearly as unreliable and AKs are not nearly as inaccurate as their reputations are.
