Any news on the updated APL? Are these out yet?

Waiting for Inforce to ship me the updated light version. They told me mid to late August in an email. We'll see. Returned mine a couple of weeks ago because I was having issues with it popping off under recoil.

Thanks! What gun/caliber were you using it on? It seems to me like a lot of those experiencing this problem are using a .45 of some sort.

I tried it on my friend's railed 1911, and I could get it to fall off when holding the switch in the momentary position. Could also do the same when mounted on my Glock 21 SF.

I must have missed it. What exactly are the upgrades that are being done to the APL?

I'm only aware of an upgraded latch mechanism, but I wouldn't really be surprised if they upped the lumen output as well.

Really wanted this light to turn out as a Surefire competitor due to weight and switch functionality. The popping off rail issue and durability concerns appear to require some work. Hope new revision works out.

Mine is still chugging along. I to need battery changes more often then my Streamlight is my only complaint.

I ended up ordering an X300U instead. It will probably work better for my AO anyway since my house is set back from the road and surrounded by woods. I'd still like to try an APL at some point though.
