RANT: Political correctness

Main stream science now accepts that Caucasoids from the Upper Paleolithic Solutrean culture migrated to N America from Europe during the last glacial maximum. Europeans made it over the Atlantic ice bridge prior to the Asian migration via the Berring land bridge. The two cultures inexorably amalgamated in N America creating what is commonly referred to as the Clovis culture.

I'm aware of that. I was just pointing out that anyone born here is "native" because eventually we were all from someplace else.

But to what end? Skin color? Genotyping? Where you (not you steyer) or others think you shoud be categorized?

Yes, in your(yes yours, styer) statement I agree with, we are all of African decent. Now, why am I asked to make this distinction? This is my question as a white male.

Actually I don't think we should make such distinctions at all. Classification by an artificial category that doesn't even exist such as "race" is about as meaningful as classifying by height or hair color and expecting other constants.

I'd much prefer we categorize people by ability.
