Hate To Ask: Google Fu Fails Me

I know that scattered around are plenty of light weight builds. Several years ago I remember a thread that weight every part to optimize the best build without any BS. I cannot find it.

I wish that was a sticky.

Anyway, I am back and light weight is king for me due to health reasons. I would love a run down on the best options. I have an old HBAR Sporter Colt lower, only quasi-complete, and I want to know my shopping list so I can do a light build without the SBR route.

Just so you know one day when I have the funds I want a DD Mk 18 or such to have something lighter, but right now I would like to know a non-NFA build concept.

I am sorry for wasting server space and sucking up time. I just want some help to build a list.

    God bless.

Using the , I typed in "lightweight build" and came up with the following results
    https://www.m4carbine.net/gtsearch.p...j6441277360j20

One of the site members even went so far as to cut lightening holes in the lower to reduce weight even further.

The biggest weight savings in an AR will be seen in barrel profile and choosing a buttstock and handguards that are as lightweight as practical, then using an Aimpoint Micro

Hope this at least gets you pointed in the direction you're looking for

PS- I nearly forgot about Project Featherweight- https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=39599
