    VLTOR Question

Anybody here have the CASV-EL handguard system? I personally find it to be the holy grail of handguards and am thinking about buying it, primarily because it is a free float handguard that doesnt require me ripping my upper assembly apart...

So anybody who has/had it, please share your experiences...

Looks like iron sights and optics wont co-witness...how about a lower 1/3rd with an EOTech?

I have one on a build of mine.I love it as well.It does not weigh very much is an easy install and if needed you can go back to standard handgaurds in about 5 minutes. The only bad side i have seen is that you canNOT use a lmt rear site.most flip sites i have found work.I have a troy rear on mine now.It has space behind the top rail for your flip iron but not enough space about 1/2 inch short for a lmt.I dont use any eotechs or aimpoints so i have no advice on that.

irons with the CASV-EL or CASV-M will co-witness with aimpoints or the micro-T1 with low mounts. eotechs will not co-witness.

reviews of both EL and M:

Will EOTechs lower 1/3rd co-witness with this rail system or not at all?
