Yeah that was right before the Adaptive Carbine 1 course that I took with him. That gun was super smooth, it has an SSA or SSA-E, can't remember. But anyway he ran that gun most of the class, even though its Ron's. The A5 was 100% with a variety of students ammo.

Can you please elaborate on this barrel? 12" doesn't seem right and that port is too small. IMO.

Ok. I think the port is too small. My BCM 12.5" is .076.

That the info the Daniel Defense rep I called gave me when I called today. Ill try and find the paperwork on the rifle and see if its listed.

Dont see the port size listed on the rifles paperwork. How can I find out the port size? If the DD reps info is wrong that is...

I just swapped in a green springco spring. Here's what prompted me:

Before I was just running a standard rifle spring(BCM manufacture). I had no issues until just recently. While running some PMC bronze and cheap Tula crap, every once in a while I'd end up with what I can only describe as a short stroke. It wouldn't even pick up a round. Rack it, run through the rest of the mag.

I haven't had a chance to make it out to test yet, but from the sounds of it the green spring should make a difference.

I usually run m193 or m855 but recent prices have drive me to cheaper options. Other specs are a DD middy barrel and BCM bolt. Also using a Vltor A5 H3 buffer

That is not the port size. That is the barrel diameter at the port on their LW barrels.
