    HK translucent polymer magazines

For those looking for normal capacity mags, HK has new, all polymer, translucent mags in their webshop (https://us.hkwebshop.com/HKWebShop/s...mID/10116//279). And price... it does not look like "HK price" a bit to me.

I handled this mags here (still waiting to get some for test and review) and they really felt solid. And HK usually do not turn out stuff that does not work.

I like the hk417 mags, I'd be curious how these 5.56 work in my SR15s.

You are $19.95 away from satisfying your curiosity.

MSRP for EU is .... 45 EUR

    I just ordered 10.

45 EUR???? Clearly HK should produce magazines in Poland, but they don't because THEY HATE YOU.

Since these have been in development forever I'm hopeful HK took the weak spring/fragile feedlip issues from the previous High Reliability mag into account and came out with a rugged/reliable mag.

I also had to do a doubletake at the price. $20 for a brand new HK mag? Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Interesting. What do they charge for shipping?** It wouldn't show me unless I registered and all that stuff...

    **Nevermind - found it...

    I ordered 2. Shipping was $7.95
I like the idea of clear mags but I can't get warmed up to the Lancers. I'll see how these hold up. I have had issues with the metal ones so I am hesitant on buying more than two.

I've never handled a translucent magazine that felt extremely durable.

Since it says they work in all quality AR-15s, does that mean they won't fit in a DPMS or Bushy?

My HK417 translucent mags feel very rigid. They feel as good as the SR25 PMAGs.

I bought 8. I am sure I can flip them if I don't like them.

Do you have a source for them in Europe?

    Except for AR-pattern magazine springs.

Interesting, but until they're put through their paces and shown to be different from HK's previous magazine offerings, you couldn't pay me to add these to my collection.

Please report back, though, to those who ordered them! More quality magazines is always a good thing (if that is what they turn out to be).

(Ok, you could pay me to add these to my collection)

The laser engraving on the mag in the picture even said it was made in the fatherland...

Why did they go the route they did with their original Maritime Magazines, and not make these?

Clearly they had the technology and know how to make these, having made G36 mags. But then Magpul had to step up and make a better G36 magazine.

So if Magpul makes a better G36 mag than HK, would it stand to reason they make a better 416 mag than HK?

I guess we'll find out, they look neat at least.

You could pay me... and it wouldn't even have to be that much. In fact, you wouldn't even have to pay me... just give me some and we'll call it even.
