Just ordered a few just to T&E. it's not like one can truly have too many functional (hopefully)magazines!

    Pictures:

-A close inspection of the AWM reveals a 2mm crack in the front of the magazine in front of the follower, as well as a bent right feed-lip and slightly bowed feed-lip insert piece.

-A close inspection of the PMAG reveals a roughly 1.5" long crack starting at the back corner of the right feed lip and extending down the magazine body terminating in the corner. It is interesting to note that this crack started in the straight of the feed-lip and not the corner.

-A close inspection of the HK magazine reveals that on the right side, similar in location to the 2mm crack on the Lancer AWM, a projectile tip has created a BB sized BARELY felt bulge on the outside of the magazine. There is very slight scratching/peening from the rims of the cases inside the rear of the feed-lips, as well as deformation to the outside only (as far as I could tell) from impact with the concrete. The HK magazine was dropped 4 times to the other magazine's 2.

If I can ask a favor, can somebody test and see if these are compatible with Noveske FFL lowers?

I got some of these in this week.

    They are nicely made.

But, they are too wide and I don't plan to order any more. They will be used as a display in my gun room. They won't be replacing my USGI magazines.

Doing my own tests on the new HK mags vs. Gen 3 PMAG's, I have frozen them to 20*F (what my cheap freezer gets to, apparently). "

Someone at H&K must have recalled how cold it got in Russia during the Fall-Winter of 1941-1942.

Thanks, dude. I saw you mention a noveske but didn't see if it was an ffl or not.

    Good to know.

Actually, one of main customers for HK is Norway. They do Arctic operations. It gets pretty cold in Central and Eastern Europe as well and HK has a bunch of customers here as well.

I live in the USA. Most of the USA can/does see 20*F yearly.
