All of their comments and experience center around old school bedded national match type M14s.

The AR10 is nice, but reliability and accuracy issues continue to plague the platform in the sand box.
The reliability issues that the AR10 platforms suffer are far less than the reliability issues suffered by the M14 based on what I have heard from people who know better.

Have you ever seen an entire bolt assembly shoot out of an AR platform downrange? I sure as hell have seen an M1A do that.

The reproduction M1A sure as hell ain't no M14

That's the problem with this type of internet information - nobody is looking
at the modernized M14, they all refer to the M1A and old school M14s.

I have two ultra reliable MK14 SEI rifles that I will run against any AR10.

The old AR10's had a pretty good reputation for reliability, but with new .308 AR's, it's a bit more spotty.

Without reliability, any rifle is just a range toy.
