Personally I see no downside to tasking predator drones into Mexico for elimination strikes. We could even call them "training" missions.

As for the dual citizenship/entry visa issue that's just further proof that our government is either corrupt or incompetent.

I see an extreme downside of a government that sees themselves less and less constrained by the rule of law they are sworn to uphold.

What to do about this? Legalize ****ing drugs- the only reason these people have power is because our government gives it to them. The war on drugs does nothing but rob you of your rights, pick your pocket and ruin lives.

I didn't watch the video, not going to either. I tried to make myself watch the Nicholas Berg beheading by the terrorists, I stopped myself when the first hacking started. I've seen the beheading videos with the sword chopping off in one swing. I just can't stomach a cruel slow death. Oh, I've seen death in person, in peach and in war time. Those images are still fresh in my head almost 40 years later.

As for the violence in Mexico, it's just a matter of time before they cross the border. The narcoterrorists have declared war on the Mexican authorities. It will spill over the border and some day it will spread north.

I'm no doctor or anatomy expert here, but has anyone here questioned the authenticity of the video? I'm not saying it's not real, but I'm really surprised how easily and quickly the guy was able to cut through the bones. If you read a bunch of crime stories here in America, you always hear about people who "tried" to cut someone's head off after they murdered him/her. That's why the video left me wondering a little bit. I've seen a good number of other beheading videos but most of them were done with quick swoops with blood spraying out the arteries and veins. Not trying to be graphic, but does anyone else think it might be just a fake video designed to terrorize or sicken the populace?

The vertebrae actually have very small contact patches between each other. There are connective tissues that hold it all together with the spinal cord running through the middle. I've broken my cervical neck. It is really easy to make a mess of things in there. It doesn't take much misalignment of a vertebra to inflict blunt force SC damage and render the body dead, never mind a blade slicing and jamming in between the bones. The body would basically be a rag doll and only limited mechanically by the skeletal system at that point.

I'm sure videos like this are propaganda to scare others. It is gruesome and no one wants to end up in that poor lady's position. What better way to get compliance from citizens than to threaten them with a violent death?

Yes a no imo. I have no problem with killing bad people but especially so when said entities activities are having a direct impact on us here at home. Nor do I think this situation is comparable to what have been and are doing with respect to targeted strikes in the middle east and Africa.

At any rate this isn't a task for domestic law enforcement. We should be letting the CIA do what they used to be good at.

As far as legalization goes yes I think that would have a demonstrable impact but power hungry and power seeking people will continue to be just that, irrespective of whatever illicit means they choose to involve themselves in. The drug is only the most expedient for them to do so. A step in the right direction though to a point I agree.

I will take your word for it. I viewed the Chechnya Dagestan video. It was probably worse than this one. Multiple be headings in the same cruel manner.

The Russians caught the guys who did it years later. They wiped them out.

In one of Paul Howe's video, he shows a drug cartel members beheading 2 rival prisoners. Quite gruesome. He also shows being shot in a ditch. The takeaway I got, and think he was trying to impart, is the fighting spirit of never giving up no matter what the circumstances or your final end may not be your choice.

FWIW IMO though rough, it is worth a watch. It has been discussed here before.

Stop training LE and military forces in Mexico. If they wanted to stop the problem, it wouldn't exist.

Get real border security which will limit the flow of drugs into the US and drug money back to Mexico.

Stop dealing with anyone in the Mexican government under the pretense that they have any genuine interest in ending the drug trade.

Treat Mexico more or less like Cuba, as a nation hostile to the US that sends dangerous elements to our country.

Treat across the border incidents as acts of war and respond accordingly.

Permit US citizens in border areas to aggressively defend themselves and their property.

Yeah, I'm fighting to my last breath. My not be the choice of my way to go, but it beats their plans against me. This goes back to an article I read (I think it was posted here in M4C) on not surrendering. Period!

I always here the legalizing drugs will be the end all. No, it won't. In fact, with the minimal experience of law enforcement, and the data I have read and seen, petty crimes in the U.S., along with the cost of health care, will go straight up.

Before I go on, I have been easing to the idea of legalizing Marry Jane. It is not addicting, or life destroying as all the other hard drugs.

The addiction to heroin, cocaine/crack, opiates, etc., fuels peoples addiction and really changes their priorities from good moral people, to petty criminals stealing so they can score their next fix. Not to mention families and people it has destroyed, but the financial cost America has taken on to heal these people, or get them off it.

If you legalize it all, you will see all that jump. Even when Colorado legalized Marijuana, Denver saw a spike in crime, particularly from the gangs.

But, lets say we do legalize it all. You will then be confronted by the three dangerous words in the English language: Half-price-sale!

Oh yeah, we are going to tax. And people are going to find a way to get around it. Here in TN, we have a .10 bullet tax. I get around it when I roll my own. Same with people who roll their own cigs. Americans (people in general) are going to find a way to cheapen their habits/passions/ etc., to save a buck.

Back in the 90's, the believe it was NC or OH (later the ATF) had busted a cigaret smuggling ring...that was operated by Hezbollah with operatives in the U.S. That money was sent back and used in terrorist attacks. All this by smuggling untaxed cigarets to another state so people could smoke cheaper.

The Cartels will figure out a way to get their product sold.

Then there is the human trafficking where they also make a good score a money from.

Are first priority is to shut the boarder, wall it off, and put the military on watch. Second, get Mexico to fight off their corruption. third, send our people in (don't train theirs for damn sure anymore) and start calling in strikes.

And in the middle of all this, we need clean up our addiction problem in the U.S..
