The Bride of Frankenstein gets my vote for favorite "horror" film; but Pan's Labyrinth is my favorite modern classic.
Last year TCM events did a double bill of Frankenstein / Bride of Frankenstein on the big screen. I'd seen both movies dozens of times since my early childhood and it's amazing how much the theater experience enhances it.
Have also seen Casablanca on the big screen (another TCM event). I really wish some local theater would regularly run classic films. I'd love to see the original 1933 King Kong on the big screen.

Halloween is great ... I get to sit outside with the dogs and dispense
diabetes, tooth decay, and allergens to the multitude of vile children who infest my neighborhood :-)
