    Current EV cars like the Nissan Leaf have zero lead in the batteries. In fact, even the solder in circuits is lead free. I'd have to check the wheel balancing weights, but you can set aside the EV paranoia.

    It would be impossible to run a modern economy without lead. Lead has many industrial uses.

    A ban on the import of lead is an absurd fear.

    I work at this plant. It's really a bummer to see a lot of people losing there jobs. Wait till you go to wal mart and pay $150 for a car/truck battery.
