Question Geissele SSA-E on Colt AR (pre-2009)

i ran into a cheap SD3G trigger for my build (PSA SBR) and ended up with a spare unused SSA-E trigger. i thought about installing the extra SSA-E into my Colt AR but the pins seem to be a little loose. i did a little research and found that a "large pin" set is made for the Colt ARs made before 2009.

my question is, will using a SSA-E trigger with smaller pins hinder the operation of the colt in any way as opposed to using the SSA-E with larger pins or is it just a matter of fitment?

will using a KNS anti walk kit help at all?

Key words- "A little loose" .016 is more than a little loose. It might work for a little while if the pins don't fall out. The sear/ hammer engagement surfaces won't last long. Do yourself a favor.. Sell the small pin trigger and buy a big pin trigger. GH

oh crap. that's what i figured. only thing is, i have a practically brand new SSA-E and if i sell it, i will lose money on it. i was really hoping i would have been able to use it on my other AR.

are there any anti walk pins made that can solve my issue?

You are trying to solve a problem by creating a bigger one. Take it or send it back where you purchased it and explain the issue. Or sell it for a slightly lower price.

They hold value well in the used market, you can probably offload it without much of a loss. If you saved much on the SD3G, you're going to break even on that one at worst...
