Now I'm certain I don't like it.. Maybe it just needs a grip, any suggestions? I just don't wanna have a nose heavy setup and thats why I'm resisting the urge to start over with a nice FFR.

BCM's new KMR or Noveske's NSR 13.5" KM handguard are lightweight and popular now.
The muzzle device on your 14.5 barrel has to be cut off and replaced if you go that route though.

Thanks for the advice.. I'm really wrestling with this because my gut tells me to "learn the gun more" before I spend money on something extra. An old driving instructor {NASA HPDE1} once told me, "Learn how to drive what you have before you try to make it better or you'll end up being a slow driver with a fast car." I have a standard M4 handguard I may try out just to compare.

My buddy recently build an AR, bolted on a ton of accessories [ebay quad rail with laser/flashlight/grip, ebay 'faux acog', bought every magazine he could find [tapso, usgi, magpul, etc.... Shot 100 rounds through it and sold it for a loss....

Thank you, sir. It seems to be very easy to go overboard with these guns.
