BFG UDC Sling Question

I recently purchased a BFG UDC single point sling that I've been using on my issued M4, it works great and I'm extremly happy with it. The other day when wearing it I noticed there is an extra male fastex buckle sewn into the sling, is this to convert it to a two point sling set up? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Do you mean an extra male buckle in addition to the two that are pictured below?

Yes- there are three male fastex buckles on the sling, the two as pictured above and then a random one that is in the middle of the sling- doesn't make a whole lot of sense that it is there, I'll try to post some pics later today- any ideas?

I have two UDC slings (black, tan) but neither of them have the extra male buckle. I connect with the QD mount so maybe it has to do with how you attach. What kind did you buy?

It is also marked UDC, not sure what the difference with this one is?

Call BFG. They are great and very friendly.

Got an e-mail back from BFG:
"The extra male fastex buckle on the sling is there if you wanted to secure the weapon. You can purchase any module adapters to attach to the front of your weapon."
I guess I can turn it in to a 2 point later down the line, this is a great and unexpected option to have.
