Newest addition to my Garand family. A CMP service grade International Harvester. It's an 0-65 Springfield Armory rebuild, and I'm totally digging it.

Super nice! Do you now have one from each maker?

I lack an HRA. I put in an order for a field grade a couple of days ago, and put a sticky note on my order for an HRA. Hopefully I get one, and that will complete the set for me. If not, I'll keep trying until I get one or I use up my eight orders for this year.

The IHC Garand is my first marked rebuild, so I thought that was pretty neat.

Yeah, it's a dice roll now. Probably better to consider buying from a CMP forum member. I had the luck of getting an HRA, nicely freshened from the CMP. You did real good on your IHC, def a lifelong keeper.

Great looking IHC!!! I saw one of those, an HRA, and several Springfields at a local gun show Saturday. Prices were salty but the rifles were in good shape!!

The rifle has been proofed in Germany, complete with fugly German proof marks! A tack driver but not really a collectors dream!

German proof marks? Are you sure they aren't British which might indicate it being a lend lease rifle.
