Need help with Hodgdon H335 recipe!

Hey guys, thanks for looking. I, like an idiot did not write down the latest load data I used and now I cannot find the thread where the particular recipe was given to me. Anyways, I thought I'd just throw this out there and see what you guys think. I remember it being 22.4 grains of Hodgdon H335 powder for .223. Does that sound like too much or like its a good load. I'm pretty sure that's what it was, but cannot remember for sure. Thanks for the help.

    Hornady 2265, 2227,2267, 2266, 2260 all 2.200 coal except vmax at 2.250 coal

H335 max 23.2 per Hornady for their 55 grainers

    Hodgdon calls higher charges though....

My standard recipe is 24.5 gr H335 with a 55 gr Hornady, either FMJ or SP. It duplicates commercial 223 loadings. 22.0-23.0 gr is very light and may not cycle all AR's.

25.3 gr for 55 gr bullets
24.4 gr for 62 gr FMJ
23.5 for 62 gr TSX, 65 gr SGK, and 69 gr BTHP
21.5 gr for 77 gr BTHP

H335 is the nasty powder. Flashes like a MO FO! I only use it when I want to get flash for fun at a night shoot.

    25gr behind a 55. Nice mellow 3gun load, about 3050 out of my 20in.

I can attest to the flashyness. I get bright flash off my 16in with a Daniel Defense MB in bright sunshine.

Yep... 25 gr is just hard coded in my brain. Good, functional practice load.

I just did some rounds in WC-844 and chrony'ed them a couple weeks ago. All in LC brass and CCI primers. 16in bushmaster and 20in WOA service rifle upper.
data for 16in is black, data for 20in is red

    armscor 62gn, 26gn wc844 16in 2872, 2860, 2900 20in first 2 error, last 3087

    armscor 55gn, 24gn wc844 16in 2613, 2593, 2676 20in 2854, 2933, 2890

    armscor 55gn, 24.6gn wc844 16in 2768, 2680, 2745 20in 2956, 3011, 2896

and as with any reloading data, YMMV.

ETA: powder was surplus from Jeff Bartlett.
