HElp picking a rail system for a midlength Aramlite

    Hi guys,
I'm researching this out for a friend, who has a midlength Aramlite with a heavy barrel. His plan is to use a low profile gas block and possibly run a rifle length handguard. The confusion starts with the dizzying array forearms available. His criteria are as follows:
    -free floating
-removal of the delta ring is OK, but not the barrel nut(we want to install this ourselves)
    - I think he wants to be in the $250ish range.

    THank you!

The rail that fits your friends specs would be a Troy MRF-R 12" or a MRF-RX 13.5"......just know that these will add considerable weight. Midwest also makes a rifle length 2 piece but they are round rails not slim like the Troys.

Read his criteria, he said *no* replacing the barrel nut.

The Troy is hands down your best option.

The Daniel Defense 12.0 Omega rail should be out shortly, and it would work well for you.

    Troy

For the cost requirements, build quality, ease of install and utility, it's hard to beat a Troy rail...

The DD Omega would definitely be an excellent choice. But I'm quite sure it'll MSRP over $300. The Troy MRF-R has an MSRP of $270.
