it looked nice in all the pictures but call me crazy I like the m4 style one.
this should square you away.
unless you need to change the receiver extension (and i don't see why you would) you wont even need a CAR multi wrench

thanks. now that thats done I was able to look inside my buffer tube and confirm that I do indeed need to change it.
why do you want to change your buffer tube?
is the current receiver extension tube commercial or mil-spec?
edit: nevermind all of this I just realized it would be better to buy another lower. the buffer retainer would get in the way of both the .22 and 5.56 working on the same lower. oh well.
im confused.
you have a dedicated .22LR upper? does it operate without the use of a buffer & action spring in the lower?
if your lower has an Vltor extension tube and a buffer retaining pin installed already you should be able to just pop in a buffer and spring.
like i said i'm confused....not quite sure why you cant use a buffer & spring in your current set up.
good luck tho
no it doesn't I was going to buy that with the rest of the stuff. its just an empty tube with something stuck in it to prevent the bcg from flying all the way thru the tube I guess.
that thing sticking up isn't a buffer retaining pin?
is it spring loaded? will it push in a little bit?
is it a round bit with a thinner post that protrudes up?
if so, that is your buffer retainer.
i don't have a .22LR upper, so I'm not sure how those guns are set up.
they might have something completely different in place of a buffer retainer....in which case disregard everything i said LOL
