Anyone hear about this?
I saw that earlier today. I'm very interested to find out more. There should be more info coming soon as SHOT is almost here.
"When they call the roll in the Senate, the Senators do not know whether to answer 'Present' or 'Not Guilty." ~ Theodore Roosevelt
"If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck." ~ Colonel Jeff Cooper
"We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid." ~ Benjamin Franklin
Price? Anyone care to take a guess?
I'll say ... $3,000.
Interesting.
I can get a NF 2.5x10x24 on the market for $1200-1800 @ 17 ozs & 9.9" add a reliable RDS @1.5 ozs. for about $200-400 for CQB have a net wt of 18.5-19 ozs. w/ variable capability.
Vs. $3,000.00 @ 24 ozs. w/ only 1x 3x 9x .....
I'll pass on that one.
Amen brother....that particular primary/secondary optic setup for a few years now has been my "jack of all trades" optic solution over all the rather dissappointing 1-8x types.
If I couldn't have a nxsc 2.5-10x24 w/ T-1......a March Tactical 1-10x would for sure get my coin.
On the plus side....Elcan's look really cool on a rifle
You forget the mount weight is included on the Elcan but not with traditional scopes which obviously makes a big difference. The advantage of the Elcan would be the quickness and ease with which you can go from 1 to 3 to 9. After you factor in mounts, RMR & NXS you're easily at $2,500. I'm sure many share your opinion, I'm not even sure what way I'll end up going (looking to set up my SCAR 17s), but I think it's a good thing to have more options and competition which pushes other companies to innovate as well.
