The D2 sharpens well and keeps an edge for a long time.

A local company sharpened mine for me. I've only had to have it sharpened once...

Decided to give a Chinese knife a go, not usually my thing, but I have been reading good reviews and the materials vs price were hard to beat...I purchased a Kizer Ki412A3 for under $90 shipped. This knife has titanium scales, s35vn steel blade, steel framelock insert with overtravel stop, and a ceramic detent...that is a hard to top in the price range. I'm very impressed thus far, and I'm actually considering one of their Ray Laconica designed knives as well.

I've just recently become aware of Kizer after visiting their booth at the Blade Show. I was very impressed with their quality at their price point, especially being made in China. They appear to be great knives for the price.
