The Rat blade, and others like it, are specifically designed and reserve for flesh.

Very nice! I have a Sebenza 25 which as you know is very similar. I typically EDC a Benchmade 940-1, however.

I change it up every few weeks. Lately my EDC blade is an Emerson Bulldog.

My everyday knife is a wood scaled mini trapper that Case made for Rigid. It's non threatening, rides well in a pocket, and has useful blades.

My "big" everyday knife was a spear point Douk Douk, but my son wanted an inexpensive stout folder and liked it. Now I carry an 80s cv Case Sodbuster. Both knives have thick 3.5-ish inch full ground carbon steel blades and are easy to get a scary sharp edge on. They don't hold a edge as well as a knife with more modern steel, though.

    Andy

P.S. The older full size (CV) Sodbusters are great using knives.
