    Custom. Had a smith cut a front sight that would fit the dovetail and accept an M14 sight. The rear in the original picture is a HK416 rear with an XS replacement ghost ring top (they market it for MP5's), I find this a lot easier to acquire than a traditional diopter. Same height as the el-cheapo original folding front, which is the roughly same height as HK416 sights. I recently added a XS tritium front and a LPA SIG556 rear, available through topgun, and this actually makes me wonder if the LPA would work with an HK416 front sight as well.

    A well thought out solution to an annoying problem on the early Sig 556s. Nicely done. You should encourage your gunsmith to produce a few of these to sell.

    I loved my p228 I hated I had to sell it to keep my first wife from jail for Bad checksI wish I would have kept it now and let her go to jail!!!!!I really like the rail they added
