Adj. gas blocks & different barrel lengths - does it matter?

If you have an adjustable gas block, does it really matter if you have a carbine length vs. mid or rifle? In other words, would an adjustable gas block have the same effect of a rifle-length barrel?

An adjustable gas block will only benefit you if your gun is over-gassed, with or without the use of a suppressor, regardless of the length of the gas system.

You will notice more of a difference on a carbine length than a rifle length gas system.

This. With shorter carbine gas systems, you can not delay the dwell time with an adj gas block. Only the amount of flow. If that makes any sense. An adjustable gas block will need to be closed a lot more at the carbine length vs other gas systems. And +1 to exactly what Onyx said above depending on the gas port size.
