Other than the front grasping grooves mine is basically identical (although he seems to have some sort of short beavertail, which is cool). I have the gold bead on there now but I noticed ken was running the FO on his 9mm.

To elaborate on what Ken said about the people in his part of the country "open carry". It is their way of life, they carry not as a political or social statement. They carry because they have to, because they may need to use their sidearm, not necessarily against evildoers, but against four legged hairy creatures of all sorts.

Amen. If I recall correctly, Mr Hackathorn sometimes totes a Glock 20 for that purpose.

I only ask because I live somewhat east of there and I don't see a lot of guys carrying guns openly. And most of the guys I do see carrying openly are not carrying nice "Go To Town" guns but, uh... rather rough looking firearms. Often, dare I say it, cheap looking guns, too.
(Of course, you don't need to have a permit in 99% of Montana to carry concealed, so, you know. There is that.)
