This pic shows the differences in the magwells as well. Note how the gen two looks like it is a little thicker around the front of the grip at the bottom, especially at the corners. Im pretty sure the lack of material there on the duty model is why some of us have been able to tweak the grip enough the bind the mags up when trying to eject them. Again duty model on the left.

I hope that these pics are helpful, sorry if the are not the best.

Anyone using a different weight recoil spring in their P-07 than what it came with stock? If so what weight has worked for you? Looking to pick up the CGW SS Guide rod along with a lighter weight recoil spring.

Ie been running 11 lb springs with 130k power factor ammo for 4037 rounds. No issues. If you're running defense ammo i would stick to 15lb springs or greater. If you're running factory 115 grain FMJ i would stick to the 12 or 13 lb springs.

Here's a bill drill run at 3.17 at 10 yards.

This is with my 130k PF ammo and the 11lb spring. The gun recovers very well.

Good to know for the P-09; will most likely be picking one up as well.

Specifically asking about the P-07 (I wouldn't think they would run the same spring weights; correct me if I am wrong). I would assume similar to a G19 the P-07 should run on a 15lb spring?

    And yes on defense ammo.

    Shrug,

    I run my G19's like i run my G17's.

For defense ammo, you can try a 15lb spring but i would stick to the factory spring unless you feel like the gun's muzzle is dipping way too much with the factory weight spring and the higher pressure ammo. Trying to tune a gun for self defense is a losing proposition as you will never run enough defense loads through the gun to REALLY get the timing down.

Do you know what the factory spring weight is on the P-07 by chance? Racking the slide on the P-07, especially with the hammer down (new CGW hammer spring inbound), seems like the gun is way over sprung.

They are over sprung but again, with +P pressure ammo...yeah...the guns generally dont "shoot" over sprung.

Factory weight is 17-18 pounds i believe.

This afternoon I bought my first P-07 and just now completed cleaning and lubing it. Tomorrow I'll run some ammo through it to test function. I'm running with the big dogs now.
