    Wife's Superlight

Well, here is the wife's new build. It has my Aimpoint on it, but I'll be mounting either a Trijicon TR21R or a Leupold 1.5-5; a sling, and a light of some type as money allows.

First, a before shot of her rifle on my pack...
    Bushmaster Post-ban M4-type w/A2 upper.
    Y-Comp muzzle brake.
Trijicon Reflex II on Trijicon gooseneck mount.
Fobus lower handguard with built-in rail.
    Knights VFG.
    Ergo pistol grip.

After shot of the rebuild on the wall of my new man room. Only the lower and pistol grip remain from the original...
    Bushmaster Superlight barrel.
CMT A3 Upper with CMT internals.
    Troy rear BUIS.
    Bushmaster Stubby Stock.
    Surefire M73 handguards.
    Tangodown VFG.

She seems pretty happy with it. The rebuild was done based on feedback from her. She had her say in the paint scheme also (duh!). I think it turned out pretty good though.

Nice rifle.... I'm building a lite weight for my kid right now. Need to find the right barrel first.
Sad, that it takes someone else to tell you your life is worth protecting and that you are the one ultimately responsible for it.

Nice gun you have built for your wife, she's very lucky.

Here is my backup gun, Bushy A2 upper with 16" Superlight barrel that I bought from USMC03 a few years ago, lower is RRA. It's so refreshing to shoot a basic gun again

Light barrels are great, here's my wifes go-to-gun I assembed for her. I haven't weighed it yet but I suspect it to be about 4.5-5lbs.

    specs:
Colt SP1 upper receiver, Colt 1/2 circle carrier and Colt bolt. Colt .625" 16 bbl, 1x9 twist chrome lined chamber but not bore. PWA lower, Sully stock.

Nice blaster. How does your wife or you operate the light?

With her first two fingers on her support hand, she can easily reach it and either pull it down to lock it on, or push it up for temporaily on.

Thanks. There's no way I could manipulate my fingers into that configuration

I haven't weighed the rifle. I don't have good scales, but I do plan to get some new ones. When I can, I'll try to get a weight posted.
