    overgassing issue

so I decided to go the 7.5 on one of my ar 's and it is overgassed by relation to the shell casings ejecting at the 1-2 position.

I currently have a H buffer in it with a full auto bcg

I am trying to find out how to tell if a H2 or H3 would help and by how much.

anyone know by chance what i can expect per dift weights? would just going to the H3 be the smart choice?

the barrel was pre set up for .070 and was also thinking of geting an adjustable gas block

would the best idea be the adjustable gas tube and a H3 combo?

    looking for ideas

I'd buy both an H2 and an H3 and try them, see which one works for you.

The thing about ejection patterns isn't a reliable indicator of overgassing. If that's you're only criteria for making that assessment, I'd be inclined to ignore it.

2 oclock doesn't mean over gassed in and of itself. A member here tried several buffers to the point of weak ejection, and still was getting a 2 o clock ejection.

i currenty have a XTC on it and it sure gives a concussion.

I was thinking of getting both, gives me options down the road to troubleshoot other issues

think an adjustable gas block be a good idea also? or just stick with a fixed option?

If you run a low pro gas block anyway, Syrac would be my pic to correct overgassing.

So this is a pistol gas 7.5" barrel with a .070" gas port?

Pistol gas barrels offer the least amount of forgiveness, so they need to be setup correctly.

These normally want the gas port to be around .0595".

I'd go straight to an H2 buffer and fix the gas port size.

Is it showing any other issues like beat up brass?

Casings looked fine just thrown to around 1 o'clock. I spend a hour driving so I don't want to make multiple trips if I don't have to

    so I got a H3 buffer and also picked up a KX3

with the H3 it was kicking out around 3 o clock, after about 400 rounds it started around 4/430 so I put my H buffer back in and its back to 3 o clock ish.

all in all it seems to be reliable now
