    On my MK 12

A2 Stock with DPMS metal spacer and Damaged Ind CS rifle Buffer Spring
Also run a Viltor A5 extension with A5 Buffer and the same spring using a B5 Enhanced Spring

Thought about trying the Tubbs Flat Wire Buffer Spring in my AR.

In my carbine stock I use the H6 buffer and Damaged Ind CS carbine spring

I might use a A2 stock. My Colt MT6400 (ban compliant version LE6920) came with a M4 stock pinned on a rifle RE and had a spacer in the end of the RE so it used a carbine spring and buffer (H1). It was as reliable as it is now with the BCM RE & B5 Bravo Stock. I'm not sure if I should use that type of setup or get a A2 RE, spring and buffer. I'll do whichever is the better setup.

In general which is more reliable, an A2 stock setup or a carbine stock setup?

    Thanks, NYH1.
If you want to keep the H1 buffer, but want to do away with the carbine spring, have all but 1/16" of the length of your spacer turned down so that it will go into the spring and then use a rifle spring. When A5 parts were in short supply, I have used AR-10 carbine buffer tubes, with homemade spacers, A2 rifle springs, and H3 carbine buffers to duplicate the A5 system. Works great. You may find that an H2 or H3 buffer work better than an H1, but any of them should suffice.

Or, just simplify the whole deal by getting a rifle buffer and spring and eliminating the spacer altogether.

I'm trying the Tubb spring, in place of the A2 spring, in my 14.5" middy that has the A5 system installed. Should work really well after seeing the info in David's video about the flat-wire springs. Might be able to use a slightly lighter than std. buffer, or maybe not. The fact that it puts slightly more pressure on the BCG at rest, but no more than the A2 spring at full compression, would seem to be a good idea, at least in theory.

The video he produced explaining the spring, appears to show evidence of some really good properties.

Always the A2 with a2 buffer and rifle spring most reliable

Closes you can come is the A5 setup that gives u a adj stock with rifle length spring.

I have A5 system on a Mk 12 mod 0 thinking about the Tubbs Buffer Flat spring?
