    I don't subscribe to either of their professional opinions.


    Carry what you like. It's a free country for now; you had a right to choose to carry a more expensive, more maintenance-intense, low capacity weapon if you want to.

    I like 1911s. I like Mausers too. I don't want to take either to a gunfight if I have a G17 or P226 and AR15 or AK available.

    I thought in general it was a pretty poor article.

    But I have long believed that a 1911 is a good side arm for law enforcement, but I can see many reasons to not equip officers with them as well.

    I've packed a 1911 on duty for years, but its a personal choice that I feel needs no "Warrior" tag attached.

    I encourage folks to pack what they can effectively hit with and have confidence in.

    Me thinks we need to get over the Ford vs Chevy, and dropping the draws to measure...uh...well you know what I mean.
    If it isn't durable, it isn't reliable.
