Any plans for M-Lok handguard panels (rail covers) like the ones for the SSG2?

Weighs the same as the 12" SSG2 keymod, 8.5oz.

The 12 inch version does weigh the same as the key mod . It is very hard to loose a significant amount of weight with out compromising strength . These hand guards dont weigh all that much to begin with. When you get down to grams you are really splitting hairs. We have not run a 15 inch version yet so I have no idea where that one will be. I have something else planned that will deal with the weight factor that will be out shortly.
    thanks

Are the M lok slots only at 3,6, and 9 o'clock?

Not knocking the way you guys designed this rail but I'm just curious. It looks like you guys put some venting slots at 45 degrees. Was there any technical reasons why you guy's didn't choose to make these slots M-Lok compatible?

I wondered this on the keymod version as well.

I can understand why they didn't do it on the Keymod version. They wanted to reduce machine time to keep the cost down.

I just wanted to know about the M-LOK because supposedly it's no harder and takes no longer to machine than any other slot.

We made them this way to keep the look of the product that our customers seem to very much like and keep the weight down. If there were slots 45 degree positions the weight would be at least 1 oz more. I am sure there will be more than one 45 degree offset mount available in very short order. As far as the cost they may be a little bit less than a key mod but it wont be dramatic. We dont retail our hand guards for $300. so we dont have the wiggle room others may have.
    thanks
