Another vote for the ESEE-3, which I own, and use a lot. I also have a Bark River Gunny, which I prefer, but it is a little pricey. They also recently came out with a smaller version called the EDC.

The Ka-bar TDI small model that comes with ankle sheath is pretty small. I got one and the belt attachment. It would be a cheap way to see if you like the idea and placement.

The next shipment of value priced clinch picks, complete with sheaths and trainer in your price range should hit the market again soon.

It's right at the top of your budget but I have been very happy with my Spartan Blades Enyo for the past several weeks. OPTactical had them on sale last time I checked.

This is such a huge field and this has so many ways of approach.

I have a buddy who is putting together some custom blades w/ sheaths for a few different ways of carry. Once he gets them production ready (after I T&E the shit out of them) I'll post it up.

For now, you can look at bladerigs - and if that's too expensive for you, find a boker coye, comes with a pretty decent kydex sheath and there are aftermarket sheaths out there that may work for you.

A buddy of mine custom wrapped a few, they come with a pretty hefty handle out of the box.

I second the recommendation of the Boker Ridgeback. Armordillo Concealment makes a great sheath for it:

    I'm also a fan/owner of Joe's work. He's a member here as well.
