    ARFCOM Billet Rifle ((Picture Heavy))

    PURPOSE:
My plan behind the rifle was to build a weapon that could serve all of my current needs to some degree. It's my happy medium rifle. Something I can shoot three gun with one day, train with another day, and grab and go another day if things get rough. With that being said I don't believe it is the "best" weapon for any of those purposes. But I believe it to be decent for all of them. It's just an all around good rifle that meets my needs and preferences. It's my "bridge the gap" weapon...

    UPDATES:

    - EOTech XPS 2-0 replaced with Bushnell/AR Optics 1-4x scope with BDC reticle.

    - Tritium selector levers replaced with standard non-tritium selector levers.

    WEAPON DETAILS:

    Upper:
    -ARFCOM billet upper.
    -ARFCOM ION Bond BCG.
    -AXTS Raptor charging handle.
-Daniel Defense CHF 16" carbine length barrel.
    -Daniel Defense DDM4 12" rail.
    -Battlecomp 1.0 compensator.
    -Magpul hand stop.

    Sites/Optics:
-Magpul MBUS Pro front & rear back up iron sights.
-Bushnell/AR Optics 1-4x scope with BDC reticle.
-Burris QD P.E.P.R. scope 30mm mount.

    Lower:
    -ARFCOM billet lower.
    -Geissele S3G trigger.
-Battle Arms Development 45 degree ambidextrous safety selector.
    -Ambidextrous mag release.
    -Ambidextrous bolt release.
    -H3 buffer.
    -Magpul MIAD pistol grip.
-Magpul UBR buttstock. (With aftermarket IWC vertical QD sling swivel socket)

    Coatings:
-Magpul OD green Cerakote on the receiver set and rail.
-Micro Slick self lubricating Cerakote on the inside of the upper receiver.
    -Ion Bond on the BCG.

    Weight:
    9.0 lbs unloaded.

    Cost:
I'm estimating that I have somewhere between $2,900-$3,300 invested in the complete weapon.

The rifle in its current state.

    The Evolution of The Rifle:

The lower exactly as I received it.

Then I immediately replaced the Magpul ASAP sling point with a Noveske QD sling point.

    I originally used this 9.0" DDM4 rail because I couldn't find a 12.0" version for sale.

The upper receiver and rail before they were Cerakoted.

The lower receiver right after it was Cerakoted Magpul OD green.

    The upper assembled with Cerakote.
When comparing pictures I was curious how the rail and receiver would look together. They're lines meet up perfectly.

The complete rifle in its first configuration with the Magpul UBR buttstock.

I had to steal the MBUS Gen 2s off of my Daniel Defense rifle until I could get my MBUS Pros.

Then I finally found a 12.0" rail and swapped them out.

Shortly after installing the new rail I installed an EOTech XPS 2-0, Magpul MBUS Pros, tritium filled selector levers, and a IWC QD sling point.

The rifle spent about 1 year in that configuration and then I swapped the EOTech XPS 2-0 for a Bushnell/AR Optics 1-4x scope and swapped the tritium filled selector levers for a set of standard levers.

    Future Plans:
-Swap carbine length barrel for mid length barrel.
-Swap ARFCOM BCG for something better. The ARFCOM BCG has some slight machining flaws and the coating is starting to wear off.
-Replace the Daniel Defense rail with their SLIM rail, a Keymod variant of the same rail already installed.

..... I would expect an Arfcom lower to have a glow in the dark safety.

YEAROGER27, you gave us a detailed laundry list of some good parts and a pile of photos, but you didn't explain why you picked these parts over others nor did you explain what role you expect the rifle to fill.

    Please read this stickie- https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread...Build-AR-Forum

The ARFCOM lowers don't come with tritium safety levers, and no I would never have it on a SHTF rifle. I had a friend who was making them and I put a set on my rifle to support him and help get his idea out there. They won't be staying on forever.

Sorry, I read the list but I was in a hurry and didn't have much time to add details. I'll go back through and add details as I can.

I was just being a smart ass, thanks for not getting offended as no none was intended. Arfcom is refered to as "the other site" (TOS) on here and I wouldn't go as far as to say there's a rivalry, but certain amount of ball breaking is gonna come with posting an Arfcom lower here. It is a nice look blaster, be sure and post a range report. Cudos on you for being thick-skinned, that's a prerequisite for here. Welcome aboard!
