Never liked Target anyway..... So stop shopping there. Problem solved.

As for the OP, don't waist your time. It is like asking an arsonist to help you put out a fire....not too helpful and will most likely make it worse.
In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.

No but they can regulate commerce which is why you can't import Polytechs, HK91s or FN FALs since 1989.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. Why inform/remind this socialist president that SBRs are even legal? Why inform/remind him that the transfer tax hasn't been raised in some 80 years.

NFA has been in his view.
I'm pretty sure Dorner had more to do with the changes than a poorly timed petition for the opposite.

Too many people want to tiptoe around these issues. To hell with that. This is how we start the dialogue for change. You can't gain ground without an attack and forward push.

That said, I agree that we need to start with the sporting clause.

Ya not sure why anyone would think stirring the hornets nest is a good idea. If there was any chance 41p won't go into effect in January, bringing this to POTUS attention will ensure it and perhaps make it even worse than we could have even imagined.

Heck, I know a lot of gun owners who don't know about or understand NFA stuff, much less a socialist community organizer.
And now there's a petition out there that brings suppressors to their attention.

An attack and forward push brought us FOPA with a machinegun ban attached to it.

Yes I understand everyone's frustration but given the current political trajectory of the country I don't see any of these laws being repealed.

What would be the better choice or maybe more realistic: eliminating the language or defining the language to include hunting, training/recreational shooting, and competition shooting?

Another thing to note is the sporting clause in ITAR. The State Dept's opinion is that sporting shotguns are those not under NFA, so 18" barrel and 26" OAL and longer are sporting, SBSs are non-sporting and ITAR applies.
