    Colt Receiver Markings

I see several Colts on the site with different markings. Some civi's (6920,6400 etc...) marked with colt defense, colt's mfg etc... Some even with LE markings on the other side.
    1. Which markings go with which model? Or does this actually depend on manufacturing date?
    2. Do all or some of the military Colt M4s in service come with the "LE Markings" on the other side of the mag well?

-I could be wrong but I don't think the .mil guns have the warning. On the left side they state "Property of US Government"

    Edit for pic--- No warning.

In many cases, YES. For example, guns made before the "Colt Defense" division was made will obviously not be marked that way.... even if they're LE models.

Thanks for the pic. From what I can dig up, AR's are LE marked and not the military M4/M4A1.
One question regarding the military M4 though... Are they marked with "Colt Defense" or "Colt's MFG"?

Colt's Defense was started in 2002; weapons before that may be marked differntly.

Thanks everyone. I guess it would be redundant for Colt to LE mark their military issue M4's since they already have the US Govt Prop and the Colt Defense markings.
