    Interchangable AK BCG's

I have a WASR 10/63 and thinking of doing the LINCH mod and cutting off the standard charge handle. I will be adding it to my Parabellum dust cover with rail if all works out. I don't want to use my original as a donor, So my question is, what other BCG's will interchange with mine and work correctly? I will need a lead on one as well, so if you have one for sale, let me know.

What you want is just the carrier, not the bolt. Don't try to swap bolts on AKs unless you know what you're doing.

Is it a headspace issue? I'm not as proficient with ak's as I am with ar's..... yet.

Yes. You can create an unsafe gun extremely easily by using a bolt that isn't headspaced to your rifle. It's not like an AR. There are different variables. But that's not to say that your idea won't work, just use your original bolt. There's a SMALL chance that you might luck out and get a bolt that headspaces correctly, but it's a slim chance and is not advisable. For a WASR, you want an AKM carrier like this -

I agree. When I was working on them I always tried to make sure that I matched the correct country to the bolt. I also used a headspace gage as well. I recommend APEX as a good source as well.

I understand the need for head space. I just would have thought with the given tolerances in the AK and the tolerances of the ammo it was not as critical.
