M&P Shield owners, please come in. (ejection port scratch)

Hi just got M&P shield (brand new) and I noticed scratch on ejection port. I am pretty sure it's from factory when they test fire. Should I worry about this or it's normal?

not my picture, but same line. (mine is just fine line since only 1 round went through?)

Only going to get worse with more rounds through it.

That's not a scratch, it's a brass mark left by the mouth of the case as it rotates out during ejection.

    It is completely normal.

I have that on my Shield as well as my Sig P227. If it bugs you, take some clp (or whatever cleaner you use) and put a drop or two on the brass mark. Then take a copper brush (a regular copper bore brush will work) and scrub it really really well. Wipe the excess cleaner off and you'll notice the brass mark lighten up. Repeat this process a few times (should only take 3 or 4 times) and it will disappear.

Mine looked like a used gun when I first got it. Brass marks everywhere...took the path that #6 above did. Mine has an ever so light mark (looks like a pencil mark) now, I just took a look at mine (700+ rounds)

My Shield has similar mark. Not an issue.
