^ BCM is doing it wrong then

"BCM Gas key is manufactured, chrome lined, and heat treated per USGI specifications, 1 Each.
Included is USGI domestic mfg Grade 8 fasteners, 2 Each."

ASTM International, known until 2001 as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), is an international standards organization that develops and publishes voluntary consensus technical standards for a wide range of materials, products, systems, and services.

Regardless, I will ONLY purchase ASTM Certified fasteners from a trusted supplier. For carrier key screws I use Torx Plus ASTM rated fasteners.

You said LWRC was close, is there another piston company that makes a DI carrier other than Colt and LMT?

OK - the one on the left is Leitner Wise Manufacturing (the new company) - which is why I said LWRC was close. The one on the right is PSA.

Am I correct that the Leitner Wise staking doesn't look like it goes in far enough?

The staking looks useless. Your PSA sure looks better than mine.

I didn't even think of the "new" Leitner Wise company.

PSA looks different in every picture I see of their carriers, it seems like they have no set standard and just get different carriers and whatever staking comes with them from a bunch of different sources.

That staking on the Leitner Wise carrier does not look very good, it reminds me of the staking old Bushmaster of Maine used to do.

I agree with you both. I am not impressed with that aspect of it and makes me wonder about the rest of it. It is black nitride and I paid $175 for it some months back.

FWIW, here's how my Spikes BC gas key came staked:
