The guys in the class insisting on a bladed stance did not have as much fun, even after being pointedly physically moved into position to be standing properly some kept falling back into their old habits.

    Practice, practice, practice.

I know as I was in his class and believe that he is the originator of the technique. Curious if other instructors are utilizing his methods (and if they are doing it correctly).

Any one use a semi-auto shotgun (Benelli)?, or just pump shotguns?
Winning may not be everything, but the endorsements are better.

Interestingly, the students all had pumps, majority were Remington 870s, then Mossbergs.

The instructors had several brands of both semi and pump and demonstrated pros/cons of each.

We started teaching this technique in 2002. The chief instructor did not mention where he learned it, but it is quite effective.

The technique makes sense when you think about it, because applying forward pressure between the sling and stock with the support hand is a method we used to dampen the felt recoil when shooting M1 Garands and M-14's.
