I find the colt 6920 to be an easy answer. A midlength with ff rail, and BCM right now due to sale, would be my recommendation. Like a g19, it fits for most people, but once you really start shooting, you will probably want to tweak it. An extended FF rail off the bat will save $ down the road.
I agree with the bcm upper deals like a few have pointed out. Is there a reason not to mate it with a blemished lower from PSA, or is spikes or a BCM lower just that much better?
As far as I'm concerned, a lower is just a housing. As long as it's in spec and you fill if with a good LPK, I doubt there will be any discernible difference. I use spikes lowers, they are available locally and I can get them at a good price. Never had a problem.

For $20 you get the confidence of quality of the parts. Stripped lower I wouldn't be worried about, but the fcg and other small parts. Of course, if you put a new trigger in it may not matter.
Not nearly as important, someone may think your bcm is a spikes or psa, OH NO!!
If you want another Colt, look at this one, nice rifle.

Palmetto is the last place I would want to order a weapon from. That's a good deal though

I'd rather pay the extra $160 than deal with palmetto's BS.
