Direct attachment of rail covers/VFG to Geissele SMR MK 2

I saw a few posts of people direct attaching KAC rail covers to SMR MK2. Are there any other rail covers that would work? What specific model of KAC rail covers is best?
Also, is there a way to direct attach a VFG to the bottom without using the little rail panels?

    Thanks!

The new Unity Tactical VFG may work.

Unity Tactical's VFG will direct mount no problems.

Thanks guys. It should fit fine. If the threaded holes in the bottom are 10-32 it'll bolt right up. Otherwise it should install using the backer nut just fine. I've even installed one on my Geissele MK4 (pre-keymod) with it's huge bottom holes, although I did modify a washer to cover the gap. On the MK2 it shouldn't be necessary.

Can you post a pic of the one on your MK4?

Great work, that looks quite streamlined. Nice to see a high quality VFG solution for the super sleek MK4.

Indeed. Can't say your pics in the Geissele thread didn't help persuade my decision when it came time to pick a rail.

It says something when Unity Tactical kit goes perfectly alongside Geissele, BAD Inc., Surefire, Magpul, etc. Very well thought out build by the way.

Keep up the excellent innovation, and kit
