I understand that, but he made BCM fix the same problem twice...and why not go back to the "good" BCM BCG they installed the first time?

It's a condition when guns start malfunctioning and then their owners follow suit. It's called fiddle****itis.

Glad to hear it was resolved. Sometimes whit happens. I had a girl in my class last year with a new Noveske carbine and the carrier key became loose within 750 rounds. We rekeyed it in the class and everything was good.

I sent the gun to BCM along with the Centurian BCG for inspection. I have a class coming up on Sept 2 so I sent it overnight (which in Alaska is actually like 4 days) and BCM received it on Tuesday. I wrote a note asking them to expedite the process because of the class, and they did (big tip of the hat to them). They determined that the gun was not undergassed, but rather the gas key on the Centurian BCG was loose (or out of spec, can't remember what he said because I was half asleep). So I guess that explains why the malfunctions started happening after 1K rounds. Anyways, I contacted Centurian, and Monty emailed me back personally saying that he would replace the BCG.

...and as is usually the case from my experience, Mistwolf diagnosed the problem first. M4carbine.net needs a "Ask Mistwolf" thread. Glad you got it taken care of. After reading this thread, I'm gonna go stock up on gas keys and screws.
