    Pistol Qualification Standards Compilation?

    Howdy all

Okay, so I have a buddy who keeps a binder with him at the range, containing pistol qualification standards from several agencies, groups, and special operations. He runs the qualification tests all the time.

My google-fu isn't quite working today, and the only pistol quals are those of some police departments and I found the recently updated FBI standards.

Where can I find the quals?? Is there a list or compilation somewhere??

    Thanks all!!!!
(I can't contact the buddy at the moment)

Good luck with your search. A lot of agencies will not make their firearm training standards public.

Google MEUSOC pistol course, and you'll find a good PDF out there put together by a former member here. You shouldn't need any other courses.

POST firearms standard tests. Google it.

Peace Officer Standards and Testing. Every state has a POST certifying body.

All that being said, having the capability to know when to pull the trigger, and how to manage the situation BEFORE such incidents, is vastly more important than the actual shooting part.

Qualification standards (and many other training/policy docs) should be public information. Kudos to those agencies who make it readily available.

That's about what I was looking for, thank you sir.

I do believe my buddy is in the know on some other quals too, I can see about it and post it up sometime or send them over to you, if I can get to see them from him again
