I don't want to derail the thread more than necessary, but what is the law, exactly? I live in MD, but have never heard of laws that restrict what barrel may be ordered.

My understanding was the sale of complete AR-15s and AR-15 lowers isn't legal in MD, but you could buy/order other parts into the state without issue. Please correct me if I'm wrong- I would like to better understand the state that allows me to cash and carry an AR-10, but acts like an AR-15 is a sin.

Without getting into SB281: any AR15 with HBAR & without the M203 cut is legal in Md.

Since June or July - stripped lower receivers can be sold to the public, for public use. These lower receivers are available for purchase if they can be built into a non-banned weapon i.e. handgun, AR15 only heavy barrel, and short barreled rifles that are 29 inches in length over all or longer but still classified as a short barrel. All State and Federal laws must be complied with reference the sale and build of these receivers. Reference the sale of these lower receivers, a 77R will be completed and a 7 day wait will be utilized. No HQL is needed since this item is classified as a firearm, but not a handgun."

Suggest you join MDshooters.com and or read the threads under MD 2A issues:

Edit: forgot to add that lowers are regulated in the socialist state of MD, therefore the 7 day waiting period.

I believe the 16" WOA barrels that engagearmament in MD is selling are marked HBAR, but I'm not sure of the m203 cutout... message them on FB or the MDShooters forum and they'll build you an upper.

I checked out their barrels and yes they are HBAR without the cut-out, but the price is too high. Yes, they have a very captive audience without BCM and others providing competition.

I have a WOA 18" varmint upper with a 1 in 7" twist and had WOA flute the barrel I put it on top of a Colt LE 6920 M$ lower with a Geissele SSA-E trigger. It is very accurate and consistently shoots less than 1/2" 5 shot groups at 100 yds with reloaded Sierra 65 gr. Game Kings and 69 gr. Match Kings. Does mine qualify?

For sure they are tack drivers, the issues is that WOA doesn't advertise the barrel has HBAR and from what I have read, the barrel isn't marked HBAR. MD doesn't advertise what barrels are acceptable only that the manufacture advertises as HBAR, it is good-to go.

Just curious, what are you selling the complete upper for?

Would it be possible to have a barrel engraved or stamped? Could that be a way getting a heavy barrel marked as "h-bar" to solve the legal issues?

You are sneaky. Seriously, only if you want to lose your rights to ever own a firearm. Isn't worth it.
