Bill,
There is a 92A1 for sale at the www.berettaforum.net for around $600. There is also a rare 92G-SD with .22 conversion kit for $1000.
Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.
Ok, I've got an El Camino full of rampage here, so what's the plan?If you can't win a gun fight against a lightly-trained individual during broad daylight with 88 rounds of 30-06, I'm not sure you'd be able to do it with... any other firearm.

Drastically different? No. It just makes the safety a de-cocker. The drastic difference comes from a D hammer spring. That really improves the trigger.
Plus for some of us the draw to these guns is all the 80's action hero's used them and they're a very elegant looking pistol. It also helps that they are very accurate.
I'm wondering if there is anything you don't particularly like about the gun or perhaps you've just been issued poorly maintained one's that have left you with a somewhat negative opinion of it?

Do all current production 92s have that lawyer billboard boilerplate on the right side of the dustcover?
Just trying to help you spend your money
Disclosure: I do not know the sellers or their history.
Update: Looks like some guy name "1911man" is buying the G-SD. Here is his info, I wonder if that's really Bill Wilson, he does have a ranch in TX, the background seems to fit, and I do know that he is one of the biggest Beretta 92 collector around:

I sold mine around 6 years ago for $850. I loved how it shot but it was a bit heavy.

We now need to find a gunsmith who'd be willing to do a front sight dovetail mod. Even if it costed a half of a gun, it'd still worth it.
From what I've been reading there seems to be less reporting of problems with Berettas than Sigs right now too.
I agree. I'd like the 92A1 with the G setup....
"If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem."
