I think the past 30 years of military use have pretty well shook all the fleas outta the 92.

    And heavy? Seriously??

It's an aluminum framed pistol that's missing 1/3 of the slide...

Compared to a polymer frame pistol yes, she is relatively heavy. I'm not complaining, I carry mine and it's my favorite pistol. As I stated in another post, people will call the 92 too heavy then go carry their 1911.

Yup. And they also call it big, but the grip is the same size as a Glock 19. Any way you measure it. Seriously...

That is why I am seriously hoping this "new special run" Beretta 92 that is supposed to be released in October is going to be a 92G Compact with a replaceable front sight.

The Beretta 92 has always been one of my favorite handguns and has always fit my hand quite well. The only thing that has fit my hand better is the Browning Hi Power.

Allegheny Gun Works does SAO conversions of Berettas using factory Beretta parts.

I have a Centurion going to Wilson soon, and a ravaged 92EL going to AGW as well.

Where did you get the October time frame? I may have missed it in this thread.

    Not from here.

PF has a thread where people "in the know" have commented that there is something out there to be released in October that isn't just a G model. It is something special plus that just happens to be a G model.

I think Ernest Langdon is involved, but no one will confirm anything.

The part you hold onto yes, but the overall height is the same as a G17.

Hopefully this mystery Beretta gun is a 92G-SD.

It's not like Beretta has to design anything new, just start making them again. Just dovetail the front.

Man I think they somehow fit everyone's hand perfectly. Not a big fan of the 9 but love the Hi Power.
