I had 262 on the brain, from another ongoing project.
I am betting that the 77 grainers would be a bit of a loose fit, rattling down the bore of my .300..
Funny thing in regards to the 248 mod 1:
I have shot this before in another rifle and it met all the criteria, accuracy and velocity wise. That said, that last time I was out with the rifle shown, I noticed groups opening up/unacceptable accuracy. Broke out the chrono, and had roughly a 150 FPS extreme spread. Thinking it was just a bad lot. No matter, as I have some H1000 coming and have a decent supply of 220 SMKs. We will see what individually weighed charges look like, accuracy wise.
