    My lightweight shooter:

Browning X Bolt Action in .308
22 inch Browning sporter contour barrel (1 in 12)
    Talley 20 MOA base
    Titanium Cerekote
McMillan Game Scout stock dipped in Kryptek Typhon
    Nikon Monarch 3 5-20x44

Weighing in at 7.6 lbs loaded, this rifle shoots great! Best group I've been able to hold is about .8 moa at 200 yards using handloaded 155 grain SMKs. This rifle started out life as Browning's Hell's Canyon Smoke. All I did was as bed it in the McMillan stock and add the scope. This will be my go to deer rifle this fall.

    Stay safe

My first ever bolt gun. Im going to zero it tomorrow morning, then start gathering data the best i can. I have steel setup at 100, 200, and 400 yards. Ive never shot past 100 yards before and have tried to be accurate. It will be interesting.

Tactical bolt action rifle picture thread

Here is my submission to the picture thread:
-Accuracy International Arctic Warfare .308 (2012)
This one came with a bunch of options like the monopod and quick adjust buttpad and cheekpiece

    -Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50

-Cerakote by Midway Firearm Refinishing in Midlothian , TX

This rifle is very accurate and I am definitely the weak link in the system . I am hoping to pull the barrel and send it out for threading so that I can add a muzzle brake . So far I am feeling happy and fortunate that I was able to put his together.

I finally got my first own rifle, a Remington 700.
308, with a 18 inch barrel and a McMillan HTG stock. A very nice Vortex PST 6-24x50 sight, and some other nice things. Just need to buy a new bipod and possible a muzzlebreak or a silencer later on.

I had intended to get a longer barrel and a AICS stock, but a friend of mine sold this to me relatively cheap. I will buy a 700 in .338 and put an AICS stock on that instead for long range target competition. the 308 will be for hunting.

I have a traditional wood stock, so the politicians don't fear it, but the "tactical" scope turrets, and bolt knob clearly make this a gun to recon with.

OK, it's just an all around gun, but it can perform tactical missions too. It's also the only bolt gun I have other than my Mosin that's clearly a tactical bolt gun, just not a pretty one.
