    Glock +2 Mag Extension question

WHY doesn't Glock include the insert needed to complete installation of the +2 mag insert? Its a two piece part, and you only get the extension itself, not the insert. Now I gotta order these in order to install the extensions.
Anyone know why Glock does this?

I too had this maddening inconvenience. Glock's accounting system gave each part a separate part number--that's my best guess.

Two different part numbers on the armorer's part list one above the other. +2 base plate, +2 insert.

I guess most people figure it out.

I knew there was two different part numbers..I guess Im asking, is there ever a time that one would use either part without the other? If not, why would they not always be sold together? If so, when/how?

Back when I ordered a metric crap-ton over a decade ago, they were always sold as a set (even from Glock).

It seems to be a fairly recent thing to sell them individually (I myself noticed this a couple years ago), and I'm not sure why. One piece isn't going to do any good without the other.

Oh well, it is what it is.
